Qoolco sells Thai coconut ice cream, and I know this one is legitimate when we spotted the ladies from Cha Thai sitting outside on the tables along the pavement happily digging into their coconuts.
We asked the lady behind the counter for their most popular dishes, and it was a toss up between the Soft Snow Soft-Serve ($3.80) or the Snow Ball Hard Serve ($3.40). We're not adventurous enough to try their Volcano ($4.60) either, which is drizzled with Soft-boiled egg yolk, so we ended up with the Snow Ball, which came in a frozen coconut half-shell perched onto a cup. It was refreshingly cold in the hot weather, and the coconut taste came across bright and clear. The coconut meat on top is a happy bonus, and we fought for the last scraps.
A terrific stop for ice cream.
